AOL messages intermittently blocked

Over the last day or two, a colleague on AOL has been getting his emails to me blocked. The error he gets is:

... while talking to in1.smtp.messagingengine.com.:
<<< 421 Client host [64.12.###.###] blocked using internal list; Too many unknown addresses, probable dictionary harvest attack. Expected removal in 20.1 mins
451 4.4.1 reply: read error from in2.smtp.messagingengine.com.

In this particular email, there was just one other recipient apart from myself. Why has this started happening?
