Gmail orginization
First, where are the large number of posts
I expected to see here? Should I post elsewhere? I have a large number of emails containing Google One case ids. I want to organize them into different Case ID groups. What are good ways to do this? I called my Google One Gmail support. No help because no Google product will do this, they told me. Last edited by SteveBroshears : 9 Dec 2019 at 06:05 AM. Reason: New info. |

Why do you have a lot of Google One case IDs? Obviously, you can have Gmail automatically apply a label to any incoming Google One emails, and then use Google search to narrow it down, but I find that most of the time it is just easier to just use Google search to find what you need. A former boss of mine at a very busy company taught me this. He received many hundreds of emails every day and his technique was to just leave them all in the Inbox and use Google search to find things--much faster in the long run than spending a lot of time sorting everything in the first place.

I have a lot of emails with case ids because I made numerous calls to Google One.
Your suggestion about the inbox does not consider any replies I made.which are also part of the various case id groups. It's better to organize them first before preparing summaries. |

I believe if you have "Conversation View" on you will find any replies grouped with the original message when you do a search. Simply create a new label for each different Google One Case ID and then conversation view will keep the messages grouped.
