Share DL's across different email systems

Does anyone know of a good way for sharing distribution lists between users of disparate email systems?

The scenario is this: A group of people from different companies/email providers want to share a DLs that are centrally maintained. (i.e. if I update it, you get the new dl)

I was hoping for something with spiffy functionality. Something like a button that would appear to my email tool bar and jump out to a service on the web, grab a dl and add it to my To: or CC: field. But, I'll settle for any cool/easy way of doing this.

All/any ideas welcome!
