Seeing this tread popup reminded me of my post here, then here.

Nothing has changed.

DMARC Issues with Yahoo Mail

This slightly changes the specific subject of this thread to one partially addressed at this older thread (http://www.emaildiscussions.com/show...ght=Yahoo+Mail). I've just started using a Yahoo Mail account as my primary email account. It is pulling in a Gmail account as a separate mailbox, and I have an iCloud mail account forwarding to the Yahoo Mail account. When replying to messages received via the Gmail and iCloud accounts using Yahoo Mail, some are not getting to the recipients for DMARC reasons. It is particularly problematic in a list serve that the iCloud account is used in. That is, when replying in Yahoo Mail to messages from the listserv, some of the individual addresses in the listserv are rejecting my replies. From what I'm reading elsewhere, this is a matter of Yahoo Mail's DMARC policy. If so, does it mean that I simply cannot use Yahoo Mail to send to those recipients? Appreciation in advance for your worthwhile insights.

Yahoo's adoption of DMARC was widely criticized for it's impact on mailing lists back on late 2013 (most started to notice in early 2014). The solution is to change the From header to that of the mailing list address instead of the original sender. In mailman, for example, the setting is called "munge from." It may be different in other software. It may not even be an option in some software, in which case it would be recommended to consider using a newer solution.
