Question Asking For Web Browser Assistance

I recently purchased a new Dell laptop, Inspiron 3000. I don't care for the Bing search engine which is attached to the Microsoft Edge Windows 10 web browser.I simply wish to have a basic web browser, without all the news stories which inundate the search engine. I've attempted to change the search engine to one of my choosing, however Bing still shows up when I lauch Windows 10. Would appreciate any instructions regarding how to remove anything related to Bing, while keeping the actual Windows 10 web browser. I love this site, as I have always been able to find solutions to my issues. Hoping that will be the same in this instance. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I have a couple other questions to ask, however will ask them one at a time, as each question is addressed, so as not to be too confusing. I hope I have provided ample information that someone may have a solution. Again, thanks in advance for any & all assistance provided.

Have yet to attempt anything, as I don't want to cause issues with my one & only web browser. Instructions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I found these to links that might be of assistance. Both discuss the same procedure. The second I think does a better job is showing how to do it. Even though the second article says from Bing to Google, it does show how to change it to other search engine also.
