Archiving folders

I have a directory in My Documents that contains archives (copies) of all the saved mail in several Fastmail folders. I want to update a coupl of them but I can't remember how I got them into my PC in the first place. I DO remember that I had to install Mozilla Thunderbird because it was one of the few that could read the .eml files type the emails are saved in.

Can someone refresh my memory??

You should have used the archive feature for this.

In the Settings-Advanced settings-Folder" screen clicking on the "Purge/Archive/Remove duplicates" button will take you to the Purge Folder screen. Here you can use the "Purge/archive messages" section to archive your mails.

Thank you... that was it. I couldn't remember where to find the "purge/archive" button.
