a suggestion..
i was talking to jeremy about what reffering people would do to the people that referred them.. i got this:
"There's no formal plans for the 'referrer' stuff yet. The plan is that if you refer users who get paid upgrades (once they're available) that we'll thank you by providing credits towards your own upgrades. Any referrals you get now that upgrade later will count towards this." this is really cool, but my question is, can i refer with my alias name jamie ? or do i have to use jamiemartin ? as for my suggestion, it would be alot easier if you could set up something so we can send them to a url like http://refer.fastmail.fm/jamie/signup/ , you know something like that so i can just link them and they don't even know, rather than telling them to fill in a specific field with something. you know what i mean? ok.. that's enough blabbering for now |

No, you can't use your alias as a referrer. We should add this though--it's a good idea.
Yes, you can use a URL to send with referrer pre-filled in. The URL is: Code:
http://www.fastmail.fm/mail/signup/?FSignup-Referrer=name;MSignal=Signup-@4 Code:
Sign up at <a href="http://www.fastmail.fm/mail/signup/?FSignup-Referrer=name;MSignal=Signup-@4"> <img src ="http://www.fastmail.fm/users/jhoward/icons/fm7.gif" /></a> <a href="http://www.fastmail.fm/mail/signup/?FSignup-Referrer=name;MSignal=Signup-@4"> FastMail.FM</a> for the fast, ad-free email service that I use and recommend. |
