FastCheck Problems
A few hours ago both FastCheck on my home computer and at my work computer will not connect with the Fastmail servers. It says there is a Connection Problem...Is anyone else having this problem?
Thanks |

Having the same problem.
Login via fastmail.fm also doesn't work (says password is wrong). |

I am having a similar situation, except I have no troubles logging into Fastmail both thru it's website and thru the FastCheck program. Also, fastcheck.org will not load, I don't know if this related.

Just tried login via web interface, IMAP and FastCheck again - neither works. In other words, I'm completely locked out of my account right now.

Well the FastCheck website loads up for me now, however now I can't login to the Fastmail website thru Fastcheck. A dialog is displayed with this message 'Folder URL not cached, opening www.fastmail.fm.' which it does (the Fastmail website loads in my browser).

As far as I can ascertain at 13:20 GMT there was not a problem, but at exactly 15:00 GMT I started getting the "soap/fastcheck" errors. I too get the message "Folder URL not cached, opening www.FastMail.FM" but hitting OK permets the login to proceed. Logging out of fastmail and re-logging in with the Secure Login and the long term autologin option seems to have no effect of overcoming the soap/fastcheck errors.
Curiously, the first failed login at 15:00 GMT also told me the last time I'd used fastmail was in December 2010. I suspect that FastMail have reverted to using a contingency server with 4 month old configuration settings? The more evidence posted here may direct FM to find the cause and rectify it. We can only hope. |

Fastcheck still not working here, but I can get email though webmail.
So what your saying is, the Fastmail Servers are where the issue lies. Then everyone with Fastcheck is having the same problem? |

Hi,
Yes, it looks like there was a problem on the server. I told Rob and it seems fixed now. Indeed it looks like there was an authentication issue at some stage (this could be seen in the FC logs if you displayed them). Eric |

Thank you both for getting that fixed for us. You know we can't get along without our FastCheck.
