The free account allows only 25 outgoing emails per day.

For recreational/private use, 25 per day seems sufficient today. For professional use, I'd see that restrictional use as more of an obstable.

The .io domain suffix is a bit of a problem IMO, because other than people in the IT and domainnames industries, few people will have heard of .io. The majority of people are still very much used to .com, .net, .org and their local ccTLD.
