Don't know how long you waited, but it is coming up for 4 minutes and I'm still sitting on the login page!

I'm now seeing a "cannot find server" page.

The outages do seem to occur when we (in the US) start our work day - related to the load(?) as others have suggested.

Initially got a 'The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server. ' message, but now have a 'I'm sorry, the server your email is on is currently down. We apologise for the inconvenience; any email sent to you during this time is being queued by another server and will be delivered as soon as the server is working again.

Status updates about why this server is down and when it will be working again will be posted to our status blog.' message. Nothing showing on the status page though.

Same here - absolutely nothing! I just signed up for a mailsnare account as a backup. May have to make the move if this keeps happening.

Jeremy mentioned that this may happen again - I expect things will improve after this weekend.

Quote:
So, we expect a scheduled outage of 5 minutes at the latest this weekend (late on Sat night, US time), but may see an unscheduled outage before then if the kernel problem reoccurs.

this is odd;

FastMail.FM Status Screen
(Please note that all times quoted are in the server's time-zone, not your time-zone.)
This screen was last refreshed at: Thu Jul 15 09:57:41 2004

The current time is Thu Jul 15 10:01:33 2004

When we last checked, the server was UP.

Things are also going slow here in Belgium, Europe. Last month, when I tried things out as a guest, things were much faster

I also noticed a very small outage, 5 minutes ago.

Sooo... that's what, the sixth downtime this week so far? It was down for me about ten minutes ago, but it seems to be working again now...
