Header search fail

Trying to debug a complex search I have reduced it to:

(header:"nosuchforsure9870198273089":"@mail.gmail.com")

This erroneously finds:

* one message that contains this literal string in the body. FM is not respecting "header:" ??
* three further false matches, and I cannot guess why.

Plus

( header:"nosuchforsure9870198273089":"@mail.gmail.com")

(note the added space) finds all messages in the folder!

Any idea what's going on?

No, but I'm glad you have brought this up. There has been something wrong with the search algorithm for quite a while (things showing up that clearly shouldn't, and things not showing up that clearly should) but I haven't found the time to identify the problem with sufficient specificity to raise a help ticket or to post about it here. Please keep us informed!

If you're suspecting a change (and I am - see http://www.emaildiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=79584 ), any idea when?

I'd check the Fastmail changelog, but I cannot find one. The only reference https://twitter.com/fastmail/status/513911004946628609 is now Not Found.
