What's your experience with Habeas?
Naturally there is a lot of talk about spam and how to stop it from reaching your inbox. But what about the other way around, are you sure your messages are delivered to the recipients. I started wondering about this again the other day when I noticed that a service messages from Godaddy was filtered out as spam (it was loaded with self serving ads). I remembered a system that Chis @ lockergnome.com has spoken very warm about, Habeas.
Does anybody have any experience with using Habeas SWE system?Edit: Tried to change title... Last edited by vidvandre : 2 Jun 2003 at 12:43 PM. |

The Habeas headers are a well-known "this is spam" indicator:

Does anybody know if SpamAssassin always let email with the Habeas headers pass? I looked at the headers of an email that used the Habeas sysem, the contents of it should normally have resulted in a high spam score but it was 0... |

I say this topic should be in the main forum section since it isn't strictly a fastmail subject. I am sure many non-fastmail users would have comments on this.

Anyway; I actually had high hopes for the H.SWE system when it first surfaced, thought it might solve some problems, but I never got around to using it. Presently I'm content with sitting on the fence, just waiting around to see if it turns out to be any good. Nice to know how SpamAssassin uses the system... I do suspect that the response to this will be negative... If one wants to send email with the "Habeas warrant mark", is it possible to include this from the .fm web interface? |

Of course, there is no problems sending messages with the Habeas watermark through Fastmail SMTP servers, so you can insert it through a mail client that supports custom headers or some kind of a proxy application that would modify the headers on message send (Habeas itself provides a simple one). |
