Filter and White Lists
Can anyone get the Whitelists and FIlter to works completely? I have whitelisted a domain (@yahoo.com) and emails consistently end up in the bulk folder. Have tried to filter based on key boards to go directly to trash and the emails end up in the Bulk mail also. Is anyone having any luck with this?

Did you recently add it? Sometimes it can take 5-10 minutes for all the incoming mail servers to update with filter changes.

filters and whitelisting
I've tried them off and on over the last several years. Whitelisted domains still end up in the Bulk and Filter emails still end up in Bulk. I've given up using Runbox for any important email and now just use it for storage. With the large amount of spam in the Builk folder, I frequented missed wanted emails.

Not sure if the problem has always been the same issue but in this particular case one of the spam scanning servers wasn't receiving updated whitelists so if incoming messages where handle by that server it had old whitelists. Because of this the problem could appear to come and go depending on which server handled the spam scanning.
It took us a couple of days of testing and head scratching to figure out what was happening. Apologizes for the delays. Regards, Rich |

Can you provide the date/time and Subject on one of the messages in your account that didn't filter properly so that I can check it?

Hi mdembski,
This message was flagged as spam by the spam filters. The built-in filter/rule for spam will move the message to your designated spam folder which you specified was the folder named "BULK". Once a message is moved to a folder no further filter/rule processing is performed on the message. The built-in filter/rule has an "Order" value of "-1" so no filters/rules with numerically higher "Order" values will be processed on messages handled by this built-in filter/rule. Your filter to move the message to the "Trash" folder is at an "Order" value of "0" so it will not be processed against messages flagged as spam. To have the message moved to the "Trash" folder you should change the "Order" value to something between "-99" and "-2". Please refer to the post Order Values for Filter Processing for a general description of "Order" values and Runbox built-in filters/rules. Regards, Rich |
