Nothing here

I'm on the East Coast of the US, and I get timeouts all this morning.
It would be nice if customer support said something!

runbox.com; fast.runbox.com; runbox.no

these last couple of months are by far the worst runbox has ever been! how very disppointing...

It's going to be back and forth for everybody for a while it looks like. I am sure Geir or Liz will post something soon.

Downtime stinks,

Hi Oded! Hope things are well! Up for me, too....though it's unlike staff not to post as to what's going on.

No, that was a response from yesterday not today. Yesterday I didn't notice any web interface problems when they were having the IMAP problems.

Does this use our bandwidth up waiting for it to load?
Its not our fault its slow

No. Geir said before that the web inteface bandwidth is the dowloading of attachments and the viewing of inline HTML and images (because they are actually attachments). So browsing your folders and reading just text portions of messages isn't costing bandwidth. At least that's my understanding.

ALL MINE IS INLINE HTML

ALL MINE IS INLINE HTML Because my is graphics groups,
so it is causing me to lose bandwidth when it loads slow!

From what I understand of bandwidth, it is the number of bits that goes through a connection. So if you are loading slow, it means that you are moving a smaller number of bits per time slice, hence you will not be losing bandwidth.

If someone has a fixed bandwidth of, say, 1 GB per month and that person has a superfast connection and moves 1 GB in 1 day over a connection that can sustain that rate, than the entire month's bandwidth has just been used up. If you have a slow connection and can only move 1K in a day, you would use up 30K/31K in a month.

Unless there is time being factored in, I wouldn't worry about losing bandwidth.

badkarma is right, it's the amount not how long it takes. So slow or fast the page you're viewing would take the same amount of bandwidth to transfer the data from their servers to your computer.
