Ludwig van Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata ( 3rd Movement ) by Tina S.

Tina Setkic (now 21) is a highly talented French female guitarist, specialising in covering technically difficult solos of heavy metal from Van Halen, Gary Moore, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, and Pink Floyd, and metalised classical music including pieces from Beethoven, Paganini, and Vivaldi. From the age of thirteen, her popularity has increased, especially through her YouTube channel and social media.

This piece, Moonlight Sonata (3rd Movement) was recorded in 2016 when she was 17 years old and is the last one so far. Since around 2018 she's disappeared from all social media. I really hope she's doing well.

Oh yeah, watch that cute smile at the end.

Arid - "All I did (was get close to you)"

Belgian band! If I remember well they're even from my native city, Gent. The lead singer for sure is. He (Jasper Steverlinck is his name) has a solo career now.

Thanks for that recommendation!

You're another metalhead? I listen to many genres of music, but metal ranks amongst my favourite styles.

The first track on the album, a great song to sing along with at full volume when driving!

For some strange reason, this song popped into my head today - I've not heard it for years:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1_4eKzFhZk

I think I even bought the uncensored single version way back when!

The accent of the singer reminded me of Steve Marriott (Small Faces & Humble Pie), and I thought about songs with strong accents and this came to mind:

Now that is an extreme Manchester accent, but it's genuine!

Sophia - "So slow"

Sophia is fronted by Robin Proper-Sheppard, previously singer in The God Machine which is one of my all-time favourite bands. Sophia is very different though, generally more low-key than the noise rock of The God Machine. "So slow" was written about the late bass player of The God Machine.

Fleetwood Mac - Silver Springs (1997)

I'll follow you down
'Til the sound of my voice
Will haunt you

You'll never get away
From the sound
Of the woman that loves you
