Spam Filters and Webmail

I wondered if anyone could advise on Spam Filters and Webmail...

If we setup mutliple email accounts on a Professional Email Host, would I be able to set up One Spam Filter that applies to all the email accounts?

How do people do this or is it not a good idea in practice...

Or would you filter your email through Specialist Spam servers on the way to your Professional Email Host?
