Is inbox.com coming back?

Inbox.com hasn't been open to new registrations for a long time now. I notice their website says that they will soon welcome new users. They have an option to join their waiting list.

I don't know how long that has been there, but at least they have updated their copyright notice to 2023.

Basically they’re keeping current customers. They do have a waiting list for those who want to sign up. Basically they’ve started a new version of the existing services. You still can login to the webmail of your email account with them.

What's so wonderful about inbox.com that folks are queuing to (hopefully) get in after an unspecified waiting period ?

I wasn't impressed with the account when I had one (free). I opened that account in 2006, I think they shut it down in 2013. No plans to queue up for a new account.

I guess https://app.inbox.com seems to be showing an account signup. Unfortunately as of now Inbox has gone completely premium service with no free offering.

The old service was closed to new users and in 2023 the service was purchased by a different company in Norway with only email features. See:

I view this as a plus. I don't use those services on any platform. That said, not going to fork over money for an account.
