Can X-Spam-Known-Sender be trusted?

I got 2 emails in my inbox from 2 different senders with a X-Spam-Known-Sender specifying "yes" and in-addressbook. But they aren't in my contacts. So how can this happen?

Ah ha, FM trying to make updates. I submitted a ticket after I posted here and they promptly replied,

Many apologies for this issue. An update we rolled out accidentally caused some messages to erroneously be marked as from a contact when they were not. We quickly detected this and rolled back the change, and are adding more tests to make sure the issue does not reoccur.
Impressive how fast they replied on this one.

Yes, but what does this say about their test qualities?

Complex code will always have bugs, some of which are not caught by quality assurance before being put into production. There should be an objective of zero defects, but a recognition that this will not be achieved in practice.

Meanwhile, this particular bug is annoying, but was quickly found and resolved. Meanwhile, the bugs with Boeing's 737 Max have resulted in the death of nearly 350 people and are yet to be resolved.
