New mobile App interface - very nice

Opened my FM app this morning to a new looking FM interface on my Android phone.
Direct access to contacts, calendar, notes and files.
I like it a lot.

Maybe someone can post a screenshot for their poor iOS buddies?

Cool, thank you Gardenweed!
So, does this mean they have a native app for Android or they change the web wrapper depending on the OS of the client?

There have been some updates to the calendar as well.
These can also be seen in the full web version.
There is now a red dot showing Today - which is a big improvement.

And in the full web version (not mobile) the number of calendar views has increased.

Angry Not very nice for me!!!

The new interface crippled the app on my Android phone. I just posted a message detailing this. The only thing the app will let me do is read my messages and that is all. So far FM support has suggested fixes but they last for a short while and then the app becomes crippled again.

Well yes, after using it during the last several hours it does seem to be a bit flaky.
Sometimes it doesn't delete - using either the bin or the swipe left function - and it seems to take longer to load emails.
But it did look nice & seemed to promise improved function !
I uninstalled it.
Oh well - hopefully FM will fix it.

Samsung S6.
Android 7.0

FM appear to have wound back the Android App interface to the previous version.
The new interface has disappeared - for me anyway.
(And now the App, with the previous interface, works again.)

New mobile app versions will be available in the next few weeks.
Read the latest blog for more info: https://fastmail.blog/2019/01/10/fas...obile-updates/
And a guide to the new interface: https://www.fastmail.com/help/guides...date-2018.html

I'm guessing you are using the Beta interface? I still haven't seen this on my android phone... Trying the Beta interface now...

No I haven't used the beta. The new UI was rolled out in early Dec (maybe only to some people?) but had many bugs and seemed to be rolled back to the old interface around 6-Dec.

So far it hasn't arrived on my phone again. (Samsung Galaxy S6)

Well it seems to be rolled out to me again now.
My old App disappeared and the new one showed up again.
I guess they fixed the bugs - hopefully.

I finally got the updated app on iOS today, and so far it seems to be working very well. I'm delighted to see a few features I'd been waiting patiently for (well, not always patiently) since they first introduced the app, namely the ability to have notifications for folders other than the inbox and the option to set a custom sound. I'll keep my eyes open for bugs, but so far I'm happy.
