Sort Folders

Webmail. New interface.
Left pane shows all folders (I have more than 200...)
They were always sorted alphabetically.
However some new folders I have added recently are not sorted but appear at the bottom of the list.
Am I doing something wrong?
Can this be fixed?
Thanks for any help.

Oded.

Click on the Create or edit folders link and it will take you to the Settings screen, where you can drag-an-drop the folders and reorganize them however you prefer.

To add to those comments:
  • When you create a new folder, click the Show advanced preferences link. You will then see the Sort priority number (which you can change).
  • Within a subfolder level, those subfolders are sorted by the sort priority. If the sort priority of each folder is set to the same number, the folders are sorted alphabetically.
  • Similarly, the top-level folders are sorted by the sort priority number (or alphabetically if the sort priority numbers are identical).
  • Folders in a new account are not alphabetically sorted. Instead, they are sorted with Inbox at the top, followed by the other default folders. The default folders (which can not be deleted) are:
    • Inbox
    • Archive
    • Drafts
    • Sent
    • Spam
    • Trash
  • As jssrea pointed out, the easy way to reorder folders is to drag them in the Settings>Folders screen. You can also choose to hide folders under certain conditions and auto-purge old messages from specific folders.

The "Default" sort order use to be a value of "10"
NOW it defaults to "28" on new folders..
so I edit the value back to "10" so it will sort like it should with the rest of my folders...
"200" WOW! O_O

I have in Total "72"
with only "17" root folders including the system folders like the "Inbox"

of which only "6" folders have RULES sorting new mail into them..!
lol

I have more than one Fastmail account, and the default sort priority number is different on each of them. As far as I can tell, the default sort priority when you create a new folder is set to the same value as the largest (sorted last) existing top-level folder priority. So look at the priority of the last top-level folder, and that is what will be used when you create a new folder.
