Does fastmail give the ability to share directories?

Yes, you can share a folder that is stored in your mailbox with someone else. That person can see that shared mailbox from their fastmail account (webmail or IMAP). You will not need to share your username/password.

You can even manage the shared folders using "Sharing/Access Control" under "Edit Existing Folders". You have all kinds of management options to let the specified users have certain or all access as needed.

I think you need to have a family or business account for this to work. (And you can only share with those accounts under the same master account.)

And must have the same domain.

This to me is most troublesome. A business may have many domains for business development and having the ability to only share folders to those within the same domain severely limits functionality.
