I read that LastPass is vulnerable to phishing attacks - should I be concerned?

LastPass is very good at taking proactive measures to protect their users. If you ever read about an attack on LastPass, chances are they already worked with the security researcher who found out about the vulnerability to fix it before the article ever hit the web.

That is the trouble with something as well known as Lastpass. Hackers know there is a wealth of information and are constantly trying to infiltrate it.

Phishing attacks will always be a problem for all services. I get a phishing email for services like amazon.com on a daily basis. The same with ebay.com, though a little less frequent.
As a service provider you can only do so much about cross site scripting attacks and almost nothing about phishing emails. Use the original LastPass app on your phone or tablet and the original browser extension for your browser and you should be safe. |
