Question IMAP Migration Disabled?

I signed up a friend and then noticed this.

I really need this option to migrate old e-mails from an old university account. Is it coming back soon?

It says "currently disabled for upgrade," so I would imagine it is going to be enabled again at some point.

I'm sort of curious about what was wrong with it. I was planning on giving it a try sometime soon as I have a bunch of messages on an Exchange server to which I have IMAP access...

We haven't upgraded it to handle the multi-tier infrastructure yet. Hopefully we'll find some time this week to do this.

Awesome news.

The account is through the univ. of michigan - i'm not sure what they use. I know they access their accounts via IMAP so we were going to set up forwarding for new messages and imap the old messages over so it would "look like" the same account.

It's not a large amount of disk space and not a time critical thing, so I'll just wait. Good to know it'll be up again soon.

FM is so cool--I'm trying to get all my friends on it.

This is the only thing stopping me from going to full/enhanced, i need to migrate my imap mails. The IMAP migration was a way of doing it once only without blitzing your monthly bandwidth quota

Bletch. It's all a matter of finding time. Maybe I'll raise it up the list a bit...

bletch

/blech/ interj. [very common; from Yiddish/German `brechen', to vomit, poss. via comic-strip exclamation `blech'] Term of disgust. Often used in "Ugh, bletch". Compare barf.

...
Must be 'bit involved' - time consuming in itself - also!

Rob's back from holidays tomorrow, so I expect some of these long-put-off things will suddenly get done soon...
