Returned email

I hope someone will read this, since nobody's posted anything for more than a month, and I just registered a minute ago.

About a week ago, I started getting mail delivery failed messages, when mailing from my centurylink email to AOL email.
However,; on the second try, they went through

Any explanation and/or answer would be appreciated.
