Messages stay unread

I've noticed recently that messages read through the web interface stay unread when viewed in Opera 28 and Chrome 41, although IE11 works normally.

I suspect that this is an issue with recent updates with these two browsers but, before I start fiddling around with my system, I'd like to know if anyone else is seeing this issue.

Never mind, I've found the culprit. It was a beta version of Hitman Pro Alert causing the problem!
