Unable to log in this morning

I'm unable to log in to the FM app on one of my Android devices this morning (it's running Android 6.0.1) that's rejecting my username and password.

I can log in OK on another Android device running v5, and logging on using my PC works. It looks like an app issue for FastMail to resolve!

UPDATE: Completely uninstalling the existing app and installing a fresh version from the Google app store solved the problem.

I tried it too with the password app and it doesn't work in my android smartphone.
But in my browser it works well with master password and 2FA with FreeOTP.

I had the same problem, but I figured out you have to drop the @fastmail.com part for it to work - just use your username now.

I'm finding that I can't log in to the app on my Android phone running v5 but I can on my iPhone 6S and via the web on my PC.

For about the past hour or so, when I've tried to login, it appears to authenticate correctly (Yubikey two-factor, Firefox on Linux desktop), but returns me to login screen with the message:

Sorry, our service is unavilable [sic] right now.
At first I just assumed that it was a temporary outage while they went through the transition, but now I wonder... it's been a while like this...

Status web site doesn't indicate anything down...

Hi NumberSix - it is working for me (in the UK) - try it with just your username (dropping the @domain part). Let us know.

Many thanks James.

FM must have changed something as at the NNth attempt a few minutes ago I was able to sign in without changing anything.

Very frustrating though.

Thanks again for your help & PM.

Regards

Nigel

no props - glad it is working even if I had nothing to do with it!! ...It's interesting though because your reply prompted me to log out and back in again and now I can do it both ways (*with* and *without* the @fastmail.tld part)

I can use it now with k9 mail app in my android, only with email and the password app.
In the FM app it was not working, maybe because I am not using .fastmail.com as domain but another domain, I don't know.

Android app now working

On the advice of FastMail support, I deleted my Android app and reinstalled it. My username and password were accepted immediately. All is now working as it should be .

Note: Excellent response time from support!

I can't! At least not without turning off Javascript, which shouldn't be necessary, eh? No matter how I try to leave off the @domain, it fills it back in automatically

However, logging in with my master password works.

yes, I can see it fills it back in automatically for me too - perhaps the fact that it didn't work with the domain and then worked without was just a co-incidence (sorry).

I have exactly the same problem.. Has anyone contacted them regarding this? There's no need to flood them with messages.
