If you can't log in to either POP, IMAP, or webmail there might be a problem with your account. What's your Runbox username, please?

The errors were not intermittent for me - they were each time, every time.

Although things seem back to normal now, I hope you set up your monitoring system to catch these kinds of errors...

The alternative "error monitoring system" is to have someone keep an eye on this forum and trust me WE will let you know smartly!

Regards,

John

That's very strange. We're still investigating the cause of these errors.

We will adjust the monitoring system to be more sensitive to this type of error, yes.

Runbox down again??

I don't know if it's related to Runbox (I don't know what Runbox is), but I have been almost completely unable to send mails over the last few hours.

Benjamin, Runbox is an email service. I noticed you posted in the FastMail forum before. Do you have a Runbox account or a FM one? (or both )

For the last two days the "Files" link on RMM has been extremely slow to open. It seems to take appr. 15 minutes of "waiting for secure.runbox.com..." before it opens. This every time one clicks on it.

I don't dare to try the FTP any more as it is does not support SFTP, so can't comment on speed there.

EDIT: Maybe it is simply down now, as I'm passing the 20 minutes mark...

No errors on Firefox... just keeps waiting. Won't timeout either.

It is quite slow but I did get into "Files" using secure.runbox.com (connecting via Comcast Cable Internet in the Chicago, IL USA area).

I did a Trace Route and it seems to show a big jump in Internet times for the Norway hops.

Rich

I can't get into Files. RMM runs otherwise fine.

EDIT: Now it let me in

The reason the Files link has responded slowly is mainly that the system is synchronizing the contents in the database (which is what you see in the Files web interface) with the actual files in your home directory on the server, in case files have been uploaded or deleted via FTP since your last visit.

We have now changed this so that a synchronization will only occur when you click the Refresh link inside the Files section, with the effect that opening Files should be much faster.

The runbox smtp was down today in addition to no emails being delivered via POP or webmail. We're in the middle of a big project and the downtime is really killing us.

Yes, I was getting that whenever I tried sending via wap.runbox.com (using a mobile phone over the weekend)... Very frustrating for me (the more so as I could not take a look on here to see comments from anyone about Runbox). The delay between sending and receipt seemed to get pretty big (I had sent a few messages to the BBC on Thursday and had their auto-responder responses on Tuesday night)

Having sent a pretty important message on Saturday regarding a house to a real estate firm, and getting no response, I wondered if my mail was being lost... a test on Monday was also still quite slow, but hopefully things are OK now...

(headers for a message from RB back to RB with only a domain lookup to do...)
