Time zone for Weblog entries
It would be helpful if the weblog could be set to reflect local time when connecting to it.
Or, if it would display the TZ of the timestamps it would be easier to figure out the age of a message. It looks like the times on there are US-Pacific local. Is that correct? |

I'll second the request for a time zone on weblog status entries, or at least a web page timezone idicator.

Why can't it just display all times in GMT (or whatever they choose to call it nowdays). At least then you can just ad your own + or - hours and you'll know what's going on.

here's a helpful link - http://www.timeanddate.com/time/abbreviations.html - provided, of course, that we can find out just what timezone the weblog is in right now....

I thought it was in the San Francisco Bay Area (at least Yipes Communication, the provider, is in SF), tho' these last few hops of traceroute to status.fastmail.fm make it appear to by closer to Philadelphia:
Code:

I thought its location was mentioned somewhere on the forum, but searching for Onno's(?) post has proven futile.
Thanks for the PDT verification, JH. |

But where on blog page is that ref? At bottom, something about 'Please click here to see this time in your own timezone' but that doesn't seem to help me re time at top of page? Yes - I *know* I am dense - so do not need to be told that - won't help! Anyway, unless there already, maybe comment - to right of date in that bar ? - re: All times Pacific - would have to adjust or have script for PDT, PST - would guess. This might help people find the time related to their own time zone
