Fastmail can retrieve Hotmail also, but the free account is really restrictive. I'm not sure about any others, but if there are then someone can fill you in on it

Bluebottle might be able do this; here is what they say...

>>

Bluebottle applies the verification process to your existing email, including Hotmail, by checking your accounts through its servers. Email from known senders is delivered to your account without delay. Unknown email is placed in the pending queue to await verification. You can access your spam-free email through Bluebottle's webmail interface or via pop using any email client.

>>

I am not sure if this is enabled or not, so you would have to check.

FuseMail.com

Try www.fusemail.com but it gives only 100mb to free users while Hotmail itself has 250mb.

External email checking from Bluebottle has been disabled.
Bluebottle is thinking of making this feature part of the premium package.

Fusemail should work. But you can only check one account with the free service. I have it checking Yahoo now.

Regarding Hotmail checking. All these services use WebDAV. In order to get WebDAV in Hotmail to work, you must have been a member of Hotmail September 27, 2004 or before, and have been using WebDAV, like checking your Hotmail account with one of these email services or with Outlook.

I'm testing Cashette.com, it retrieves from hotmail automatically

There's is a "spam control" included, where senders have to confirm (& pay?) to let the message be delivered, but you can turn off this feature if you want.

If this is still disabled, you would think that Bluebottle would not advertise it as a feature, when they have (as yet) no paid service level... external mail checking was disabled "months" ago...

Is Cashette storage 100MB or 1000MB? Does it have POP. IMAP, or SMTP access?

Fusemail isn't free

Try www.fusemail.com but it gives only 100mb to free users while Hotmail itself has 250mb.

IIRC, Fusemail is no longer creating free accounts. Existing free account holders have been grandfathered, but new users must pay.

On Emailaddresses you can read 100MB, but it's 1000MB, they upgraded a few weeks ago.
It has POP, no IMAP so far... can't find any SMTP

More info on Cashette

Okay, I've signed up. When you enable spam control, you must agree to this:

"Spam Control Agreement

"In order to protect xxx@yahoo.com from spam, Cashette will retrieve your email periodically from this account. You will get the benefits of reading and writing email under multiple accounts at one place. You should access your email from Cashette only or the spam control for xxx@yahoo.com will not function correctly. The retrieved messages will be deleted from your xxx@yahoo.com account.

"Please note that we cannot spam control the email that is already in your xxx@yahoo.com account before you enable spam control for this account. This pre-existing email, which may include spam, will be moved to your Cashette account."

So now it seems to me Cashette's POP is limited to 3 accounts. Spam Control - payment is optional. I'm not finding any directions for setting up Outlook, (which Cashette says they support), so I still don't know about SMTP.

Incoming Mail Server(POP3): mail.cashette.com
Account Name/ID: username@cashette.com
Outgoing Mail Server(SMTP): Look up an SMTP server (link)

Translation: Use your ISP's SMTP server.

I did not know this change took place. Was it announced here? You use to be able to sign up for free through this page

http://www.fusemail.com/services/personal/free.html

But on this page, the Create Account takes you to signup for 30 day trial on one of the paid accounts.
