"you've visited illegal websites"
hello,
I'm quite disturbed by receiving an email with the title as posted above. I have no way to authenticate the sender (admin at fbi.gov!). it was sent to myrealbox address. nobody knows my address (well, beside myrealbox.com and me) so I find it quite weird. what kind of website do I went to? the email itself was 78KB in size but I don't find any attachments and mostly it was a writing "warning" me not to ever visit those supposedly illegal websites. it was dated about a month ago but I don't recall seeing that email sitting on my inbox. I checked that address once every week. any suggestions? -the dazed and confused- |

I've seen that exact email a few times. The name before the @ changes, but it's always from @fbi.gov. I don't visit any bad websites, so I don't worry about it. I just delete them. It's just junk.

It is a scam.
It's also been associated with spreading a virus. http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/interne...2/fbi.warning/ |

thank you so much for those infos! it's just weird for them to choose to send a "warning" email to an address that I almost never use. oh well.... life goes on
