Cheapest way to do Unlimited Email Forwarding
me and a group of people want to have an email account that will forward to a specfic person in our friends group atomatically.
What would be the cheapest way to do so? Free accounts seem to only let you forward to one account, and services like pobox only give you 5 forwards (as far as i could tell). I also looked into buying my own website, but i couldn't find helpful tutorials on how to set up a email forwarding service, and i don't have enough time to teach myself with out any guidance from a tutor/tutorial. any help you could give me? |

Gmail can forward to multiple forwarding addresses using filters.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVm3ZW_d7l8 http://www.emaildiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=64639 There is a limit to the number of forwarding filters on one account (possibly 20), but there is no reason you can't cascade accounts (forward to 5 other gmail addresses, which then forward to five other addresses, and so on if needed) What is your actual need? |

You would register a domain name with Gandi.net and use it has your primary email. Mail sent to that domain name could be forwarded up to 1000 addresses. At least I think that's how it goes. Gandi.net charges around $15-$16 a year for domains. Last edited by malcontent : 16 Sep 2013 at 11:35 AM. |

Godaddy offers 100 free forwards with each domain that you register, that's what I do.

If you are looking for free, Gmail would be your best option (as kaptitsky mentioned earlier) imho.

In considering this, I realize that I don't know what the goal is.
If the goal is to create a kind of e-mail list implementation, with mail that is sent to one address going to a host of addresses, then my initial suggestion is fine. If the goal is to create separate addresses for individual people that forward to their separate e-mails, then my suggestion is not useful. In the second case, I might suggest Windows Live Domains, which include user configurable forwarding as well as POP3 and IMAP4 access. We need herpsderpsjedi to make clear what is needed, I fear. |

Without knowing the OP's preferences I quoted the average for the top level TLD's. As a worse case scenario for price. |
