We're investigating it further. No commitment yet.

I've put landscape and pinch-zoom on the list for further investigation.

3) Despite checking the sound option, no sound is made when an e-mail arrives. If the phone is in my pocket or otherwise not visible from where I am, I will not know a new e-mail has arrived.
Yes, we've already discussed this. It should be available in the next few days, maybe tomorrow once I'm back in the office and have test devices available.

Perfect! Just what I was hoping to hear.

I assume the contact list is coming from the fast mail server and not from iCloud?

Correct. Once we have CardDAV you'll be able to synchronise the two.

searching seems to be a lot fastest than with the standard IoS mail app. And the signatures sync nicely from the fast mail server

I'm loving the app, but these two facets are inconvenient. So many emails today come in HTML format and while other iPhone apps can handle that, this one requires horizontal scrolling with no pinching allowed!

That said, this is a great start and hopefully can be built upon.

Something else to dream about for a later version might be to allow a setting that does NOT automatically mark an email is read when opened. I've always preferred to handle that chore manually.

Rather than notifications for multiple folders I'd prefer a Unified view of selected folders. It kind of accomplishes the same thing, but unified view shouldn't present UI problems because it looks like a single ordinary folder in the UI.

Glad to see FM release this! It's a good start. Just putting in a vote hoping they will take advantage of the landscape mode on the iPhone 6 plus.

Thanks for this, works very well especially considering it is effectively only ver. 1.0. Looking forward to enhancements which I'm sure will come about.

One suggestion from my side. It would be wonderful if we could attach from FM file storage in addition to the device storage.

Finally had a chance to really check this out on my iPhone 6 plus -- some quick thoughts, most probably already mentioned in other posts in this thread:

1) Good start! Thanks for doing this! EDIT: BTW, this is shockingly usable for a first effort. Very impressed. I actually might stop using the stock iOS app soon. Congrats! All those hard hours of investment into the AJAX interface has paid off in the way you have implemented this.

2) No landscape mode! Please implement soon! My #1 issue at this point!

3) No pinch/zoom! Makes reading HTML emails that are wider than window annoying. My #2 issue.

4) No pin or lock code to lock out other users of my phone -- i.e.: if I hand this phone to a friend or family member, they can waltz right into my account. Would be nice to have a lock code instead of having to log out, then log back in... I recognize that most email apps do not have this -- but many good apps DO have something like this. Actually, it would be even better if I could unlock FM with my thumbprint.

5) Can't attach files from FM storage or FM-linked Dropbox storage - would really like that.

6) No access to FM file storage in general.

7) Notifications of Inbox only.

8) No integration with iPhone contacts! Please implement soon.

9) EDIT: Can't see how I can log into multiple FM accounts. Not possible?

10) ANOTHER EDIT/ADDITION: I just noticed that you have implemented swipe to archive and swipe to delete... great, thank you! However, can you please add a feature to CONFIRM delete on swipe? I notice you confirm to delete on swipe on a conversation thread, but NOT on an individual email....

Again, thanks for doing this FM team! It's a really good start! Please consider suggestions in this thread for implementation!

P.S.: BTW, I really like that I can set up a restricted alternative password for this... That somewhat mitigates point #4. Kind of nice that I can't permanently delete emails if I use this feature. Well done -- an unexpected bonus due to the way that FM handles alternative logins to their web interface.
