Future Request: Public directory in Files

Hi,

Under Files there is a Homedir. I would be nice if there was also a so called 'Publicdir'. Putting files in this folder makes it accessible for everyone.

You would than get, example: www.runbox.com/user/public/

In this way people could share specific files in an easy way with others, such as home-pictures etc.

It would be a very nice future of runbox. Are there plans to implement such a future?

Kind Regards,
xen

Probably not the best time to ask them when they're getting pummelled over bandwidth limitations...

I remember hearing that they didn't have any plans for public access when they released the file area though.

As it's been said that Files will in the future count towards the bandwidth, I'm not sure this is such a good idea. Just imagine someone on dial up downloading a file you'd uploaded and then they get disconnected and have to start over again... Depending how big that file is, that could be quite a big chunk of your bandwidth gone already.

Unless it can be closely monitored, I'd prefer to get my own webspace and let people download from there if I have files to share.
