Cant access yahoo using POP3!
I have a yahoo.co.uk account. I use Mailwasher to filter spam and then download mails from this account into OE6.
Since yesterday I get a 'wrong username or password' error when doing the above. But if I login to yahoo through my browser, the same username and password works How is this possible? Anybody else facing this problem? |

Same thing happened to me on an account, but going into webmail and resetting POP3 access from mail options took care of it just fine.

The explanation for problem such as these is expressed in the old Chinese proverb "Yahu sux"...

Just experienced this today "invalid username/password" but as you guys mentioned, I can access it via webmail. Btw, I'm using yahoo.ca
I tried resetting the pop features but got this, " Pardon our appearance during construction We're still tweaking the Yahoo! Canada Mail Beta POP & Forwarding option. Temporarily you'll need to access it through the original Yahoo! Canada Mail interface. But, rest assured, any changes made will take effect once you've reloaded the Yahoo! Canada Mail Beta." I also keep getting the same messages that I've deleted twice in the past 30mins from my inbox/spam/sent folders. On a side note, yahoogroups seems to be also experiencing a looong glitch with email delivery. |
