suggest google to open a new domain for email signup

Gmail.com has been running for 15 years. Any good username has been taken out.
Like MS opens outlook.com, google should consider to open another domain to attract young and new people to sign up.
for example, gmail.ccTLD or gmail.xyz should be nice choices.

I doubt they'd really consider that. They could have done so many years before already.

Yahoo by the way does the opposite: for yahoo.ccTLD no new sign-ups are possible whereas in the possible there were plenty of ccTLD options (existing addresses under a yahoo.ccTLD do remain operational)

You can use your own domain email and send and receive in Gmail. https://support.google.com/domains/a..._topic=6293345

Hello,

with this way, the real sender (the mail from addr in SMTP session) is [email protected] or [email protected]?

The From address shown to most people in their In Boxes will be your @domain address, but if they dig into the email headers they will see your @gmail address. If a reader hits Reply it goes to your @domain address. It is easy to try out and free if you want to see how it works.

In my views, Gmail was/is their testing platform.

G Suite is main motto to run Gmail.

Same with Outlook.com and Office 365 too.
