first@last.com or first@firstlast.com?

I own both last.com and firstlast.com. Which one is a better format?

1. first@last.com
2. first@firstlast.com or mail@firstlast.com

I use first@last as its shorter, however its honestly completely up to personal preference.

before the @lastname.extention (or even @firstlast.extention) I would put "info", "mail", "contact" or something like that. Putting your first name both before and after the @ sign sounds a bit odd to me. If you can grab first@last.extention, that is good too but if you'd plan to use the domain for a website too, then I'd say it's better to have your full name rather than only your last name.

But it comes down to preferences and personal choice really.

I notice too some people register their middle name's initial as part of the domain. This is something that here in Europe would be quite rare, because we rarely mention our middle name or its initial (moreover, not everyone has a middle name ... I for one don't have any middle name, I only got one first name. However, even those who do have a middle name rarely mention it, while it seems in the US it is more common to do so)

I would prefer to use first@last.com but I don't own my last name and it would be extremely costly to purchase it (if even possible at all) so I have first@firstlast.com and it works fine.
