'Hijack this'-What is it?

In my add and remove, I see that 'hijack this' has been installed by the cable company. Can someone tell me what it is? Is this the place to ask questions like this?

Thank you for the reply. Shortly after posting I learned that it's an advanced program. I think it said don't use 'hijack' unless you have problems. I don't have any problems , so I won't bother with it for now.

I learned extremely much about my computer by trying it out. What the text means is that you should only delete somethign if your really know what you do.

To use it to learn from it is not dangerous. I recommend you do try it.
