Email services in Malta

di-ve.com, a webportal/webmail email service based in Malta will cease to exist as of 30th June:

Dear Customer,
Kindly be informed that the di-ve.com account and webmail service, as well as any services available through these facilities, will be discontinued with effect from 30th June 2010.
After this date all email data stored in your account and all account details will be deleted permanently and access to your account will no longer be available.
We kindly ask you to back up any email and data that you wish to keep by following the procedure below BEFORE the above mentioned termination date.
  1. Should you have archived your e-mails in webmail and would like to retrieve them, then first you need to move these e-mails to your webmail inbox.
  2. If you are not using an e-mail programme to access your e-mails, and would like to download your e-mails, then you need to set up your Outlook Express/ Windows Mail or any other e-mail programme according to your Operating System. Please use mail.di-ve.com when entering your +IBg-incoming mail server (POP3)+IBk- and your ISP+IBk-s outgoing server when entering your +IBg-outgoing mail server (SMTP)+IBk- settings.
  3. Open your e-mail programme
  4. Click on +IBg-Send/Receive+IBk- or another similar function according your e-mail programme to automatically download messages from your ISP's server to your e-mail inbox. This step should be repeated until TERMINATION DATE.
Should you require any further information or assistance please click here.
We take this opportunity to thank you for making use of our services.

The di-ve.com team.

Not sure if this affects the SearchMalta email service as well, it seems to be associated with Di-ve.com, however SearchMalta email uses everyone.net platform.

If hosted by everyone.net it's totally seperate. However, if the owners want to discontinue their services, they may consider as well to not renew the domain they host at Everyone.net ...
