Count emails by sender

Is there any way to report on the count/size of emails sent per-user?

This could really help inform a strategy for cleaning up email in general, and it would be helpful for targeting unsubcribes.

There is no current method for getting a list with each From address on a separate line with an adjacent message count. I have never heard of any email system or client with that feature, which I agree would be useful.

You can do other related searches which would be impossible on most other clients or webmail systems:

• Perform a search for * (just that one asterisk character) over all folders. Then sort by sender. All messages from all folders will be listed, sorted by the sender. If you use a mouse to select the first message from a particular sender, then hold the shift key down and select the last such message, the count of those messages from that sender will be shown at the top.
• Search for messages from a particular sender over all folders. The number of conversations involving that sender will be shown.

Thanks, Bill. Yes, thanks. I've gotten around to using similar kinds of filtering and counts.

Fastmail is superb. A feature like the one we're discussing would be an additional valuable differentiator.

In general, I would like to see more analytics in the email, but starting with counts-by-sender would be a huge step.
