IE is not a browser, so stop using it as your default

IE is most def a browser and I love it

I use it as a secondary to Firefox. It has Flash add-on, which is rarely needed today.

I use ActiveX filtering. It helps for broken web sites that eat RAM and crash Firefox, and blocks auto-play videos too.

I haven't used IE in awhile, but that is mainly because I no longer use a PC either at work or at home. However, as recently as within the last year I encountered some websites that told me to open the link using IE and other browsers were not supported. Mostly government sites, and I suspect they might have been running Windows XP systems or even older. My wife worked for a major state agency for awhile and they were running ancient custom software from pre-Windows days--almost DOS like.

I have been using Firefox as my default and Edge as a backup. However I did uninstall IE a long time ago.

Do you think there are any major advantages of IE over other browsers?

I know it is heavily used in like old-style government offices. As I worked in one and there IE was compatible with their local custom ERP.
