How about aol email today

I have an old aol email for almost 20 years old.
If I have given people this email address, will they think "oops an old man"?

The short answer is "yes." The longer answer is that if the email service works OK for you there is no need to worry about it for ordinary use like signing up on websites, etc. If you were applying for a job I would suggest another address. Despite it being illegal, here in the USA I believe 100% of businesses discriminate based on age. I've been involved in a lot of hiring and a person's email address is often the first thing you notice if the application comes in via email, and the people making the first cull of job applications are almost always the youngest, most inexperienced people in the office.

I was only somewhat recently made aware that AOL's email infrastructure has been fully merged with the rest of Verizon's infra. AOL postmasters used to be some cool people, Verizon's...meh. Their CEO and his team though, top notch folks.

That happened some years ago. Both AOL and Yahoo are run by a company named Verizon Media (previously named OATH) which is a subsidiary of Verizon. Also since AT&T internet uses Yahoo's servers then AT&T's email is controlled by Verizon Media as well. If you are using any of these services I recommend reading over Verizon Media's TOS particularly section 5 which covers the information they collect.

I had an AOL email acct as I used AIM so I had one and they deleted my email acct years ago.........

Made me mad kinda cause I did like that email account........

I have what was originally an netscape.net address, that is now aim.com, which works with aol.com on my one and only AOL account that was Nescape, then AIM, now AOL

Like the OP, I also have had an aol.com account for as long as I can remember. I think when I got my original PC I acquired this AOL account.

And unlike BambO, my account was never deleted although I don't think I ever used it in quite some time.

Mostly a spam magnet.

But it's still working so go figure.

Luckily, I got my first name dot lastname at aol.com.

I have an AOL account, I don't use it much. I do have folks I correspond with who still use an aol.com domain. Most recent is this year, 2021.

I have had an AOL and Yahoo account since Hector was a pup. I have been having a lot of problems when i sign in my account does not accept my password. I can create another password or move on to another email account
