Changing "your mailbox is xx% full" options

I'd like to be warned when, say, my mailbox was 95 and 99% full, but now I'm getting MANY warnings emailed to me once it hits 89%.

I have a 100 meg mailbox, so there's a big difference between 90 and 90% for me...

I checked the help and faq, but couldn't see any way to adjust these prompts...am I missing something, or is it just not possible to adjust this?

TIA, Dave

I don't think it's possible to change when you are warned at this time. I think it would be a good idea, actually, to let users customize it. Nonetheless, I think the 90% level that it seems to be at now is a good point to send warning messages.

90% is still a problem.

I have a 200MB mailbox.

10% of that is 20MB, which is twice what guests get, and more than a member.

So this would be a cool idea ;-)

I fall into the same boat as mk (I have a 100 MB mailbox).

Instead of a warning by %, it would be useful to be able to set a warning level by MB left instead.

OK, I can see the point here. Yeah, a system that warns by MB left (which would need to be customizable) would be a good idea.

A somewhat related discussion also took place about a month ago:

In this case they changed a different warning (I think) to only go off when the mailbox is 98% full. Perhaps the same could be done here.

I don't really want to add a user-preference for this... Perhaps if we used "10% or 5MB, which ever is lower" as the reminder point?

That sounds like a good solution (at least to me ).
