Don't be sorry. I'm deliberately letting it expire.
I'm sure that I could log into webmail at this time, and reactivate the account. |

Looks like they're having issues again. Cannot connect via pop3, and the website itself is also unreachable for me...

Gawab is not working since the day before yesterday. The situation is worse than before, as POP doesn't respond to a ping.

Gawab
Gawab isn't a sinking ship, it's a sunken ship. I only wish the one, last account I have with them, through no choice of my own, would transition to some other provider for God's sake. Even at 100% full function, 4MB of storage in 2011? Please.

Gawab is now working. It is not a sunken ship, but a submarine - it is only submergible.

Just to continue with the metaphor, I've been having an up-and-down experience with them these two days
I went into the web interface to update my account info, and discovered that it is possible to change your password/backup email/password Q&A once, maybe twice if you're lucky. Try again after that and the server hangs. There's a message about trying to connect to the server, and then nada. Why did I try more than once? Because there's some kind of strange issue with the way they save the account info now. The system no longer seems to remember your secret answer - no matter how many times you set it, it'll come back as "blank (none)". Not very safe, to say the least - any hacker could hit enter at the question and get your password reset :} Eventually after many tries I finally managed to delete the Q&A altogether and leave it as alternate email option only. If you, like me, used to have a Q/A specified, now might be a good time to do some housekeeping! |

Gawab was ok for a few years, this year Gawab let her users really down. At the moment the website is up but the email service is down (box stays empty). I'm moving to another email service!!

Still cannot login on Jan 9 2012 and the web site is hit or miss but the servers appear to be on-line. There is good ping response from my location but the response to a login (when you can get one) is "Error, service down, try again later. sorry. Fun and games.
