Another new German based email provider
Found another German based (free) email service.
http://www.eclipso.eu The interface can also set in English. Nice about is that also a domain name can be had with .eu ending:-) (for the members that are European) 5 Gig storage. AFAIK they do not have imap...but do have pop and smtp. They also have paid accounts with more features. Dutchie |

Their service seems impressing. Unlimited storage, forwarding emails, auto-replies, signatures, never deleting older emails (permanent storage), sending faxes from the mailbox, unlimited capacity (where did you see 5 gig storage? Not bad anyway, but I thought it was unlimited) ... all for the free users available too.
Now doesn't this sound too good to be true? How long has this service been around? Is there a solid business plan or indication they will not cease operations in a relatively short time? Which service can pay to provide all those options (unless your name is Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, ...) It seems a wonderful service, but I fear they may be overenthousiast and then realise they cannot afford such service to be provided for free. How long have they been around, and is there any indication this won't be one of the countless initiatives that tried to compete with Gmail, Yahoo etc and gave up after a while? PS: the inactivity limit is not indicated anywhere |

Here is another one from the heart of Europe:
http://www.ok.de/ Unfortunately they ask for a German address.....but I think Google can help out there;-) If they also check the IP I don´t know...but a proxy could work... still didn´t had time to sign up... storage is unlimited. About imap etc It doesn´t say. check it out. Viel spass!! (have fun) Dutchie |

http://www.emailtester.de/freemail/anbieter.php
this is a german site with many free email services listed!! I guess you don´t need to be fluent in german to guess what it is about;-) Or else pls use a online translator service. I found it to be very informative. Dutchie. |
