The site is a spoof.
Normally any call for a political cause/ban/action is not permitted on this forum. Just a reminder. Last edited by ReuvenNY : 15 Dec 2005 at 02:15 AM. |

I feel the DHMO site does not make enough of the greenhouse impact of this compound. DHMO is by far the most significant of the greenhouse gases and is a major cause and effect of climate change. Yet while there are thousands of facilities around the world designed to purify it, some very costly in terms of energy use, nobody in the international community has called for it to be banned.
Where I live, in Australia, very few people choose to live where DHMO is at low levels, except maybe the odd feral camel. And some people have been known to store it in tanks and dams for safe keeping. Jeff |

No joke!
This stuff is really insidious and I can confirm firsthand how dangerous it is when misused. Not long ago there were some rowdy children in my neighborhood who - owing to inexcusable parental negligence, no doubt - had somehow acquired large quantities of the substance in liquefied form. They filled up these little plastic "gun" replicas with it and then went about "squirting" it at innocent passers-by. Outrageous! I received a face full from a well-aimed blast and my eyes were bleary, red and watering for some time afterwards! I couldn't even see well enough to phone a Hazardous Materials emergency unit. I wholeheartedly endorse this ban.

I'm on my fourth 200ml glass of dihydrogen monoxide today.
