Change Login mailadress
Hi,
I'm testing fastmail with a trial account, blabla@fastmail.com is used for the Login. Is it possible to create a new Alias xyz@fastmail.com and set this as standard for the Login? Hope, you understand what I mean |

An alias cannot be used to login, but the user ID (in your case blabla@fastmail.com) can be changed. At least this is possible with the account that I have. The accounts available have changed (probably more than just the label), but why don't you try this and see. Post your results, and it may well help somebody else in the future.

I think, that it isn't possible to delete the registered main adress.

In my case, if I change the 'login email address', the old one doesn't get deleted but changed to an alias. I then cannot use it to log in, I must use the new one to do that.

I know we used to be able to change our "log in address", as the account name.
I can't find in settings anywhere to change the account username (the email address used to log in to my account). Am I overlooking this, or was this removed at some point in time? |

To my knowledge you can now change your login address as many times as you wish. If this question is important you can always ask FastMail with a formal support request.
As long as you use a long and impossible to guess master password and two-factor authentication, the knowledge of your account address isn't a security risk. Bill |
