File storage upload: unzipping

I had hoped that when I upload a zip file to file storage, that there would be an easy convenient way for me to unzip it into the folder, sorta the opposite of the way things are automatically zipped together when you download them. I can't find any way to do that. Can anyone confirm this function is not available, or let me know if it is? Thanks.

Arrow Open zip then drag files into Fastmail Files folder

There is no direct method for doing this. In other words, when you upload a zip file it remains a zip file.

But you can easily indirectly do this with these simple steps:
  • Open the zip file. You can do this from the orignal source (such as your local PC drive) or by selecting Download or View while the zip file is highlighted on the Fastmail Files display.
  • Select the files inside the Zip which you want to move to Fastmail file storage. For example, use ctrl-click to select multiple files or ctrl-A to select all of them.
  • Drag the selected files to the desired Fastmail Files folder.
