http://www.cruelmail.com has been unreachable for me for several months. Has it closed down?

A rather strange email name? Are they (were they) cruel by name, cruel by nature.

I think someone here might have some information on them. Certainly their website cruelmail.com hosted by ThePlanet.com Internet Services, Inc is still live on IP address 69.93.9.90 and the domain does not expire until June 2012. Normally when a service ceases there is some announcement or other information available.

Terrible domain. Unless I know the sender personally I'd be tempted to bin an email coming from such address without even opening it.

I asked about this last December. They're still not up. It's just confusing that they have never announced anything. Also, there's no error generated when you try to access them; it sits there grinding, until it times out.

I don't think opinions on the name of the domain is particularly relevant to the query raised in this thread. Over the years I have received email from many email addresses with crazy domain names like google. or rackspace or hushmail or live or a myriad of others. If the email is relevant and not spam, I open it regardless of what characters may appear in the email address.
