LuxSci adds web hosting to email hosting bundle at no extra cost
I just noticed that all LuxSci mail hosting bundles now include web hosting (which was previously $5/mo extra) at no extra cost. They've also done away with basic support, so now you can get mail -and- web hosting, including phone support, for $10/mo at LuxSci.
I've always felt $10/mo was too steep when I still had to pay for web hosting elsewhere, but I'm considering signing up for a LuxSci account again and move my mail and website there... |

Thanks for the above information.
I just sent Luxsci Tech support an e-mail regarding this issue to see if it effects current customers in terms of upgrades, etc........ As no official notice was sent out from Luxsci David |

This is great. Luxsci increases value on an already excellent package. I've been with them for a while now, and this just confirms what I think of them! Bravo, Luxsci!

Is the website disk quota shared with your email disk quota? For that matter, what is the website quota? The website description doesn't mention disk quotas.
It's also unclear whether, if you have more than one domain, you must pay extra for them to host a website in the extra domains. They say you get "1 DNS" in their website description. All my DNS is currently handled by Namecheap. If for example I had 5 websites for 5 domains, which is clearly under their basic limit of 10 websites, do I have to pay extra for websites 2-5 because they're on other domains than the first? The free web hosting at LuxSci includes up to 10 web sites, 10 MySQL databases, 2000 GB bandwidth, and 1 DNS license. Disk space used for those services is combined with that used for other services and compared to your overall account-wide limit (which is a soft limit). If you need extra web sites or databases beyond 10, the price is $1 each/month. If you have dedicated hosting, there is no limit on these at all. If you DNS is handled elsewhere, then you do not need our DNS licenses at all. -Erik |
