Fastmail bouncing forwarded email because of spamhaus blacklisting. Anything I can do
Hi! I have an email address (hosted at a domain I do not own, web.net) which forwards to my fastmail account.
As of this morning: When email tries to forward from MYADDRESS@web.net to MYADDRESS@fastmail.fm, the message bounces. The reason seems to be that a server at web.net is listed in a spamhaus blacklist. I’ve contacted the folks at web.net to see if they can do anything about this. Is there anything that can be done on the fastmail side? Anything I can do or contact fastmail about? (As near as I can tell, the servers at web.net aren’t listed on any other blacklists. When I send a message using the web.net servers to the spam-checking service at www.mail-tester.com , it comes up clean other than the spamhaus listing. It seems a little aggressive to me to bounce emails entirely based on just one blacklist listing, but I’m no expert on this...) |
